Ever since its creation in 2000, EDP Foundation New Artists Award showcases the work of new contemporary artists in the Portuguese scene. Alongside the 2022 exhibition at MAAT, which presented the works of the finalists Adriana Proganó, Andreia Santana, Bruno Zhu, Maria Trabulo, René Cruz Tavares, Rita Ferreira, curated Luís Silva, Luísa Santos and Sara Antónia Matos, there’s an exhibition catalogue.

A common feature between most of the artists’ works exhibited was the expression through drawing or of a plastic expression through tracing. Therefore, the visual identity for the exhibition and the catalogue manifested tracing and brush strokes as a clear reflection of the exhibited pieces.
